Thursday May 04, 2023

Even Pep Guardiola has been labelled as the father of modern football tactics but has failed in the UEFA Champions League for twelve years now.

Are adaptable tacticians more successful than philosophy-driven ideologues?
In the latest episode of the TFA Podcast, host Adam Scully is joined by Coach Scott Martin as Scott dissects his latest magazine piece titled, “Ideologues vs Tacticians: The battle for domestic and continental titles,” whereby he analyses 15 years' worth of data to decipher whether adaptable tacticians are more successful than the Wenger’s of the football world.
The data will shock you!
